Fridge Poems, Cat Paws, and Magnolia Blossom . . .

“May what I do flow from me like a river,
no forcing and no holding back,
the way it is with children.”
— Rainer Maria Rilke

The weather has been beautiful this week and as always happens when the sun begins to shine, it drew me out into the garden. . .

"Hands scratched and stinging, mud beneath my nails, I pull and gather, trim and cut.
Clearing the way for burgeoning new growth to see the sun. Exhilarated by the energy of the earth, I smile at my secateurs."

“I feel like a wet seed wild in the hot blind earth.” — William Faulkner

The Magnolia beside my front gate is in bud.
Soon there will be that wonderful scent every time I pass by.

“Let your life lightly dance on the edges of time
like dew on the tip of a leaf.” — Tagore

Back indoors - and what every discerning computer user needs.
- What's that you ask? . . . a stylish cat 'helper' of course! :-)

This week I bought myself a present - some magnetic fridge poetry words!
As I was sticking them on my fridge door, this 'fridge poem' occured. . .

And while I am in kitchen - here is a photo of a suitably spring like snack!
Hmmm, delicious! (I love toasted flaked almonds.)

I hope that the sun has been shining in your world too! x

Thought of the week

Watch the stars, and see yourself running with them.”
— Marcus Aurelius

We have had a beautifully bright, sunny week, thank you:-)
Lovely photos - I particularly like the cat paws; they beg to be stroked. Cats do enjoy keyboards - computer and piano!

Oh yes, sunshine and summery weather here too. Freaky - as March is usually still like winter here.

Love the photos (that's my kind of snack!) and the fridge poem! I love to play with my magnetic poetry - amazing how such lovely poems happen randomly. Like yours.

All wonderful welcomes to spring - your poem, your words and that cuddly kitty. Yum to the snack, too. I can almost...almost...smell the Magnolias.
