The yellow tulips opened and
the magnolia petals started to fall
litterering the ground like confetti.

Seemingly overnight, the blooms have begun to appear

Soon their heady scent will fill the air. . .

My lilac is nearly over now! So long-awaited and such a brief appearance.
The flowers have lend awesome credence to the words. Beautifully written :)
These are gorgeous, really brightened up this cloudy/rainy morning. Hope you had a good week too!!
Congrats on the prize :)
I so envy you the blossoms, but especially the lilacs. That scent means something deep inside of me is awakening, coming to fruition.
Love the images and your words and congratulations,
Elizabeth
Love tulips, adore lilacs, and yes, even the first appearance of dandelions get me excited too!
Beautiful photos, Susannah. I love the scent of lilac.
Thanks everyone for popping in and reading, it is always appreciated, and always good to see you all. x
A lovely combination of photos and words.
~smile~
I can smell those lilacs!
Spring is hurtling towards summer - isn't it wonderful? One of our lilacs has masses of flowers ready to open. The other has nothing . . .
