Sunshine and Signs that Spring is Springing!

"Sunlight pours through my window, drips down the couch into
a golden puddle on
the wooden floor, awaiting a passing cat."

The sunshine and the colour returned to my world this week, there was a different energy in the air. As soon as I saw that liquid yellow sunlight I was called outside, out into my unfamiliar garden. I have been a stranger there recently, and walking among the dead leaves and foliage from last year was like an exploration.

I was rewarded with the wonderful sight of new life poking through the dark damp earth. Hope personified.

B
eautiful strong green shoots ready and bursting with life force. And when I stepped away from the path and looked closely, there were flashes of colour, shades of lilac and tiny splashes of yellow that looked so delicate, illuminated in the shadows and the pale sunshine.

Buds beginning, shouting of new life to come.

The sky has been blue and everywhere I look there are newly ploughed fields. You can feel the stirrings, though winter is still holding reins the earth energy is beginning to surge! Soon there will be signs everywhere, but for now it is enough to know that is has begun.

"All that you need is just to be silent and listen to existence." - Osho

Thought of the week

"Don't let one cloud obliterate the whole sky." - Anais Nin

I hope you had a wonderful week!

This week I have also joined my friend Jennifer in her 'exploring beauty' challenge .

She asks us to find...
101 examples of beauty and show, tell, list or write them. Photographs, songs, poems, paintings, crafts - however it is that you tell your story.

I have put my own slant on this challenge and have decided to make my list from things I find online. It may take a while! but I have made a start and have a dedicated page here.

If you want to know more about joining the challenge.
Either click on the banner in my sidebar or follow the link HERE.

I am linking this post to week 22 of I Saw Sunday why not join in with us! and tell us what you saw this week.

Is Spring showing it's signs at your place yet?

The yellow primrose speaks to me . . .

I seem to recall Wordsworth:

A primrose by the river's brim
A yellow primrose was to him
And it was nothing more . . .

Look at those colours...just gorgeous. There is something so cheery about the return of spring. You can't help but smile. Stunning photos!

Oh I remember those days, Susannah. They seem so far away now.

Hello everyone, yes it is wonderful to see signs of Spring! Though we have had a grey sky and rain today, just knowing that they are out there in my garden cheers my spirit. :-)

Good to see you all, thanks for visiting.

Oh I can't help be envious of your earlier spring! But this post made me happy, reminded me that our spring really isn't that far off - even though February has a way of making it seem so.

Love this!

Hi Jennifer, it won't be long! :-)

It is a strange time of the year, one moment it feels like spring and then another day you are reminded that winter is still very much around. Always good to see you. x
