"Speeding by the sunset - a blur of yellow
"In the grey green moment before twilight, a solitary dove lands.
Rain drips from the silent bird table and falls to the waiting earth."
The garden welcomed the much needed rain and there was colour everywhere. . .
One patch of this is all green, one is variegated. Though they came from the same plant?
I think (if I identified it correctly earlier this week) that this is called Loosestrife?
Does anyone know what this plant below is called?. . .
And relaxing and taking it all in, Bina poses for a photo! :-)

I dig sunsets, but hanging out the window? Your garden always looks so lush and beautiful. And Bina is a fantastic looking creature, mysterious, and so very in control, magnificent, even my daughter who is The cat person here, said Bina is exceptional. Wonderful photos, as usual Susannah,

The garden certainly seems to have enjoyed the rain - I enjoyed seeing those 'pixie hatted' fuschias!
Your plant looks like it might be a variety of Evening Primrose, or perhaps a Star Daisy - either way, it's very pretty.♥
The sky photo's are just glorious, and that's a particularly nice shot of Bina too :o)
Evening primrose, not loosestrife, which is purple. The one below, I don't know.

Well, you've got me proper flummoxed with that plant! serious detective work going on here and I can't find it! It's really pretty too - does it have berries?
Seems you've been having generally nicer weather than us - no drought here and not much sunshine to ripen the tomatoes! We can't keep cats at the moment because we are afraid that the eager collie might do it harm - sad, I've always had cats before and miss them a lot, yours is magnificent! Morvah, no it doesn't have berries and each year it dies back and I cut it off at the ground. It wilts easily if it doesn't have enough water (it was in a pot for a while, and the clump I gave to my mother in law still is.) It has beautiful colour leaves. Thanks for trying to identify it. :-)
Cats, I adore them. Though before I got acquainted with Ms Mitz, who was a feral cat and mother to both Bina and Sammy, I was strictly a dog person! But they all arrived in our life not long before our old dog Harvey died, and they stayed on and 'converted' me. :-)

Elizabeth, I often hang out of car windows taking photos. LOL
I think the reason my garden always looks so lush and beautiful is because I am not really a 'gardener' and don't do the things that perhaps I should! Like cut things back often enough, or weed!
I often tell people how lovely their hair looks, only for them to tell me that it is far too long and they are just about to get it trimmed. I have come to the conclusion that I like my nature like I like my hair! ;-)
Thanks for the kind words about Bina, she really is beautiful and has some wonderful colours. Patches of warm cream and soft apricot! Mmmm, she sounds delicious! LOL

Sunsets are glorious things. I have been known to take photos of them while actually driving - not a good idea. Thank God the roads were deserted. Yikes.

Yes, we call that first yellow plant Loosestrife. My father has tons of it in his garden at the cottage. Wild Purple Loosestrife is quite stunning in ponds and along ditches and streams - but it has become invasive. Such a shame.
