February

Moss.

Verdant hillocks alive and in miniature.

Beauty in unexpected places.

Wet slate, cobwebs, crevices.

Lichen,

yellow and grey,

modern art

adorning twisting branches and old walls.

Damp,

grey green spaces.

February.

I loved seeing the green. It brought hope to my snow white brain. Beautiful poem.

I wish my February looked that good! If I were to write a poem about this month I'd have to use the words "gray" and "slush" a lot ;) (Love those adorable moss lumps! They look like green napping hamsters!)

I'm with Suz - I think the moss looks like animals.

Oh to see some green again....

So we have 'moss covered turtles' and 'green napping hamsters' - I love both descriptions and shall be tempted to feed them next time I pass! lol

Someone else thought they looked like the 'tribbles' that featured in the very early star trek episodes!

Yes, after all the snow and grey weather it will be so nice to see green again - for now we will have to make do with these miniature green hillsides, or napping hamsters or turtles . . . lol

Thanks everyone. :-)
