And the Red Hot Pokers are Pointing at the Sky . . .

"The perceiver is reflected in what is perceived." - Amrit Desai

In my kitchen the Buddha waits. . .

for the gooseberries that are almost ripe. . .

. . .and the blackcurrents ripening daily.

I have walked the garden eating redcurrents and blackcurrents from the bushes.
Soon I will be joined by the blackbirds and thrushes. :-)

In the garden touches of yellow against the green. . .

And glimpses of purple peeping . . .

greenery and buds trail around the wind chime. . .

And daisies turn their faces to the sunlight. . .

Meanwhile in my front garden, red hot pokers point at the sky. . .

. . . and through the window, the cats watch me taking photos. :-)

Your garden is ahead of mine - but, there again, your Buddha's hands are held in the 'teaching mudra'.

It I weren't in England at the moment, I'd think it was summer from your photos! I envy you the gooseberries. They aren't grown (don't grow) where I live.

Harry, thanks for the information on what that particular Mudra means, I had been looking up what the hand positions meant on another of my Buddhas recently and couldn't seem to find the answer. (I have rather a collection of Buddhas.)

Jade, thank you. :-)

Earlybird, the weather seems to be changing so frequently at present, some days like summer and the next, grey and decidedly chilly, it looks like you are experiencing the latter! ;-)

What a shame you don't get gooseberries, we have two different varieties. I thought they may have suffered due to the lack of rain but they don't seem to have.

I hope you are enjoying your trip. x

We had a cold front move through this week and temps dropped from 92 to 53 degrees in twenty minutes time. Not nice. Love you photos, they are peaceful and warming. Especially like the purple blooms.

Beautiful Susannah! Such simple everyday things give the greatest pleasures don't they? Perhaps that is a wisdom that comes a little later in life! Have a lovely week.

My favourite parts are the cats watching you through the window. That is so cute. I also love your flowers and the gooseberries and blackcurrants. You have your own little pirece of paradise right there!
